Help Phone wont boot without SD card...

I had turned off my phone, removed the battery and SD card. Started loading files onto my card (pics, tunes, pron, etc) and turned my phone back on. The initial Samsung screen would come up, load the bar all the way to the right, and just stay there with the samsung logo on the black screen.

Now why would the SD card be required for the phone to boot properly? Dumb question? Should I know this noise already?

Many programs use the sd card for caching and/or data storage. If one of them starts with boot up, it may stop the whole process.

Try removing all the files you had loaded onto the SD card from the computer and booting again.
