Phone wont charge :(

Dropped my sony ericson xperia ray android in a bucket of water today :/
picked it up in a few seconds, dried it out and switched on my phone.
everything except the volume button was working.Tried to charge my android, the home button stopped working.As adviced i removed the battery and all other components and kept it in a bag of rice for an hour,i reassembled it,but phone is not getting charged,tried another battery too,that's not working either :/ had got a new battery just a week back. what do i do

Firstly, try the rice again, but for 1-2 days rather than an hour. Seriously, and hour is not enough to do any good. And remove the battery before doing this.

After that, just hope. If corrosion has already occurred there won't be anything much you can do. A quick bath in isopropyl alcohol might help (neat alcohol, not drinking stuff), but no promises - if damage is done already then it's done.
