I have a LG Ignite from Chat Mobility and it won't chare when plugged into the wall charger. It doesn't even register that it is plugged in.

The charger could be bad - try a different one. (Cellphone chargers from the last 5 years are interchangeable.)
The wall outlet could be bad - plug it into an outlet that you know is good.
The charging port on the phone could be bad. Inspect it with a magnifying glass and a strong light. There should be a bar running almost the full length of the port. It should be in the center, not leaning on one of the sides. Check for dirt.
