Help Phone wont connect to networks suddenly, HELP!

So all of the sudden today my phone stopped connecting to the Koodo network. Wifi still worked but I couldn't call or text. I ruled out a sim card issue as my sim card worked in my old phone. Now, I bought the phone and unlocked it and then placed a Koodo sim card in it and it has been working for the past 8 months. Any suggestions on what to try? Ive tried the typical restart and remove sim card and am starting to panic. Help!!

Does your carrier have a website where you can check for problems on their end?
Does the phone look like it's connected or not (signal bar)?

You bought it second hand and unlocked it? And given what you've already said. Quite possibly it's blacklisted, even after 8 months, maybe reported stolen or missing, or an outstanding contract is in default.
