Help Phone Won't Send Or Recieve Texts

I just got this phone today, and everything's working fine except texting. I activated the phone, I can download things, I can even make phone calls, but people aren't receiving my texts, and their texts aren't showing up on the phone. What can I do to fix this?

Is the message centre setup correctly on your phone?

Have you tried using a 3rd party SMS app, like Go SMS or Handcent?

When I bought the Intercept from Virgin it took about 48 hours before my phone would start sending/receiving text messages. Honestly, if you just purchased it today, I would wait it out for a couple days and if it still isn't working, call technical support.

I have the same problem as you, except i sent text msgs earlier this morning, now nothing will work, not even texting apps

Anyone else having the same issue? I sent some texts this morning but as of midday (12pm) central time I have not been able to send or receive texts. I think it's a issue with V mo
