Help Phone wont turn on

I let my phone battery run down until it shut off. And since then I cant get it to turn back on... With the battery in it there is no light on or anything when I try to power it up.
Plugged in the LED lights up red (with or without the battery in it- i seem to recall without the battery in it there would be a battery missing sign on the screen), either way it doesnt power up.
Has anyone had anything like this happen before?

sounds Like mabe bad charger try charging of a pc if that dont work mabe bad batt

Perhaps leave it plugged into the wall outlet overnight, or at least for several hours, then try again to power up?

I had that issue with my S3 once. Believe this or not, I unplugged/plugged in the cord on the phone numerous times in succession and finally got it to power back on. :o

How old is the battery?

I just got my new Awe, the old one's battery is fine, the old Awe just wont charge the battery anymore - it even connects to the PC via USB, just no charging. It also seemed to run fine on the old ROM but seems to run very hot. I greedily wiped it, eager to try the new lollipop ROM, and now it keeps rebooting in TWRP during the install... Weird. Maybe overheating?

Probly right on that

For what it's worth, I had the same problem with my Awe. Charger was fine, battery was fine, usb connection to PC fine, just woke up one morning, battery was almost completely dead and it wouldn't charge. I have no solution for you, but oddly enough after being switched off for 3 days, when I turned it on again, it started working again. Thinking back, I had some hints of a possible problem because during the months before, there were brief periods when, although plugged in, it wasn't actually charging. I'm guessing there's some circuitry inside the phone that controls charging and maybe it got stuck in the "off" or "fully charged" position? Anyway, although I bought a replacement it's been siting on the shelf for the past 2 weeks, since my old one, after resurrection, is still chugging along.
One question though, with your new Awe, did Virgin Mobile customer service continue to allow you to be grandfathered in under the old $25 a month plan?
