Phonebook Contacts not saving???

How come when i save a contact it doesn't appear in my contact list but when i dial the number it shows the name?

too bad there wasnt a live chat with q's and a's whenever you need them.. although there might be but i am not aware of it

You probably have your contacts filtered. Open contacts, press the menu key and see how you have your contacts filtered. Chances are you have a group being the only contacts currently displayed and your new contacts are being added to a different group.
