Phonebook groups

[Android Question]

How do I delete the groups that are pre-made in my phonebook (on my HTC one) ?

I dont seem to have the option to delete the groups:
Family
Co-workers
Frequent Friends
VIP

I have my own groups, I dont need the others, they are confusing elements and they really annoy me. I would really appreciate any help, thx.

You do not have the option to delete the stock groups. You can simply not use those categories and continue to use your own.

Ok, so I just have to put up with a confusingly long list of groups, of which I dont use half of?

Is there absolutely no alternative ?
