I came across this game when I was at a get together at someones house. We had nothing to do (raining outside) and the conversation was getting dull. So my friend took out his droid and opened up this game. 6 of us played and found our selves in tears at times from the laughter. It was a simple game that was very effective at that moment. I have since downloaded the game and have already used it on a few occasions. I used it yesterday while at a friends house. Its a real time consumer and ice breaker. Simple game a word comes up and you have to describe the word without saying it or rhyming with it. That easy

How do you play? What are the rules?

Three or more players get in a circle
Each Person describes or gestures the phrase on the screen (no rhyming or spelling)
If the phrase is too hard, press ?New Word?
After phrase is guessed correctly, pass the phone
The next person presses ?Got It? and play continues
Round ends when the buzzer sounds!

Pros.
1. relatively low priced
2. 3 forms of play. basic scramble and heads up.
Basic ? the person left holding the phone loses!
Scramble ? the team NOT holding the phone at buzzer gets a point
Heads Up ? 1 Point per correct phrase to the ?heads up? team
Advanced Scoring:
If the other team guesses the phrase that their opponents were trying to get after the buzzer sounds they earn 3 points!
If someone spells, rhymes, or says the phrase then they lose a point for their team
If someone skips a word during play, then they lose a point for their team
3. will make any group laugh (especially if drinking at the same time. lol)
4.set game length
5. set buzzer to theirs or your own mp3
6. Use words from different categories or everything combined
7. Theme packs are available for free
The Theme Packs are free add-ons to the two pay versions of PhoneFraze. If, for example, you purchased PhoneFraze Pro, you could then download and install the ProFootball Pack which adds Football phrases and other Football related words. If you have one of the pay versions, you might as well get a theme pack though, as they are completely free of charge.

1. I had a hard time watching my phone go around a cirlce of people, kept thinking someone was gonna break my Sexus One
2. Apps to SD would be nice

In the end I give this game a 4.5 out of 5 stars. Its fun and entertaining, you will enjoy it. The game is without flaw as I have not experienced any force closures as of yet. Look below for a video

Cabbie, thanks for posting this for us! We decided to let it run a little bit longer, but will be closing it soon. Hope you enjoyed playing the games with your family or friends. :-) We added another new word list this past weekend. Had a 90's theme party, so naturally a 90's wordlist was in order! :-)
 
No problem.

I was out with a buddy of mine and we ran into an acquaintance of his that i'd never met who was with her work friends. After chitchatting a while and it the conversation started to die down, I broke out this game and we ended up playing it at our table at the bar for about an hour. It was a ton of fun and is a great ice breaker. We didn't even keep score, it was fun enough to just pass the phone around try to guess the word, Had about 15% battery life by last call, I wish i would have looked at how much the phone was at before we started playing, but it does not 'appear' to be a battery killer, which is good.

Couple things: I can delete the free phonefraze version since i have the pro version, right? Also, would like to see a menu option to quit after opening the app without having to go through the process of setting up a game. Otherwise, these games are awesome.
 
Cabbie, that is a great story. Glad that you enjoy the game. We have spent a lot of time to make sure that there are no memory leaks and that the game operates efficiently so that it is not a battery hog like some apps.

In all our hours of playing the game, we have never had a phone drop or had any reports yet from users of the such. People seem to really respect a bright and shiny phone and pass it carefully. Besides, we are not talking about iPhones here where they won't let you have insurance on device! ;-)

If you are worried about your phone being passed, maybe play at a table or try our game PhoneCharades where there are not as many (or as quick) passes of the phone.
