photo editing software...

Why is there no decent photo editing apps? OK, it would be slightly hard on phones, but with tablets now being able to use a mouse, there really should be a good editing app.
I've for the Acer a500, and am an amateur photographer. I would like to be able to edit photos whilst on the train or just sitting around the house.

I've tried picsay and Photoshop, but they are veeerrrry basic.

Are any app developers working on photo editing apps?

I'll also be getting the galaxy note when it comes out, as i like the note taking aspect, and the ability to draw using the s pen. It would be awesome to be able to use the s pen to edit as well.

I find my 14inch laptop a little wanting for image editing, and I dont even consider myself an "amateur" photo enthusiast. Just the occasional poster for school events and stuff.

Indeed. For image editing you can never have enough screen real estate. My 27" still isn't enough. I also have a 17" MBP for mobile editing, but IRL always try to put it off until I can work on the 27" screen.
I did try a couple 'photo editors', like PicSay etc., on a phone. Just for the hell of it. And then put up the result on the big (calibrated) screen, side-by-side with the same photo edited 'properly' (i.e. on that big screen). The difference is shocking! And the difference in print is positively nauseous!

Now I sometimes just use the 'Photo Tools' app. For reference when on the road. But I shiver at the thought of having to edit ever again (other than rotating and cropping snapshots) on that tiny screen... BRRR!
