Help photo editor invalid characters?

when i use the photo editor on my bionic and edit a photo then go to save as and enter a name it will say "file name includes one or more invalid charactors". no matter what name i put it says that. what do i need to do so it will save?

i just found out that the only pics that give me this problem are the ones i have moved that say "copy of image" before image number. any ideas how i can make it work?

OK. Assume I'm "dumb as dirt" ... starting with thew home screen, walk me through what you are doing. What do you ckick to start?

#1 open the stock files app
#2 open sd card
#3 open the file i made named .systame
#4 open the pic i want to edit
#5 click menu button then choose edit
#6 then up comes a window that says select an action
#7 so again i select the stock files app and it opens
#8 select sd card
#9 open file i made named .systame
#10 open the pic again and then start editing it
#11 once im done editing the pic i click menu then "save as"
#12 use the name thats already there or try a new name then click ok
#13 it pops up a light bluish greenish window toward the bottom of the screen that says " file name includes one or more invalid characters"

You are apparently using Gallery.

Try clicking Gallery.
Select picture.
Select Menu | Edit
Make the change
Save
This saves a copy that you can rename.

I could not duplicate your error.

nope, it does the same thing...

As I said I could not reproduce your error.

I ALWAYS transfer images to my workstation, use PSP (Paint Shop Pro) to manipulate them, and then transfer them back.

If you send me one of the images that is a problem for you I will try it on PSP when I get back latter today.

those pics cannot go to anyone! she would be really mad! i was just trying to lighten them up with the editor!
