Help Photo folder issue

Hi, I made folders on my SD card and split photos into each, no problem.
Then I wanted to rename one of the folders, it was called 'Barcelona' and I just added a full stop at the front of the name, when I saved it the folder immediately disappeared from that folder and no longer shows in the gallery either.

Any ideas where it could have gone to or could that have deleted it?

You need to set your file manager to show hidden files.
Files and directories starting with "." are normally hidden from view.
