Hi, I am 2 weeks new to andriod and I have the Galaxy s3. Can anyone tell me how to stop the gallery from automatically creating folders? It is so annoying the phone saves my fb, instagram, downloads, backups etc as separate folders. Is there a way that I can control the folders that I want?

Not familiar with that phone, but I'm guessing you have ice cream sandwich which I am a little familiar with. Maybe someone else will correct me, but I am not personally aware of a way to manager folders on the stock Android gallery. I have downloaded, and would recommend a third party gallery from the play store. There are a few, I personally like Quickpic. They are more customizable. The system will create folders at will a lot, but you can easily change the names, or just move pictures into another folder. The only way to stop different folders from being created, which can only be done by certain programs, would be for example to change the download path in your browser so it downloads into the folder you want.
