photo processing time

After taking a photo, the word processing pops up and it seems to take quite a while before I can take another photo. Why is this?

Thanks.

I believe this is the auto stabilization which takes several snaps to smooth out shakiness. This can be turned off in the options/settings of the camera.

Auto stabilization should not cause the "processing" delay. Check what shooting mode you are in (change it back to Auto) and also make sure the night time (hand with a moon on it) mode is off.

Hit the gear and you can check the quick settings to see what is on

I get the processing message only when I have the smart stabilization option selected. When I turn it off, the pictures take instantly unless the flash is on. Then I have the delay while it focuses and flash flashes.

It's the smart stabilization option. you can turn it off but i noticed my pictures blur even more w/o it on. The camera is about the only thing I dont like about the note 3 :/. It can take very great pictures, but w/o a true stabilizer, good luck, especially if it's not PERFECT lighting.

Turn OFF the stupid stabilization. When it is on mine it takes forever to process. At first I thought it was my memory card. I tuned it off and BAM Instant save of photos !
