I have all of my contacts as type Google rather than Phone, so that they will be refreshed when revised on-line and are easier to copy to another device.
I can edit my contacts in the android Contact application, except that when I select a photo for a given contact it does not appear. However, I can add photos in Google Contacts and they appear for my phone contacts when I synchronize. If the app can't support this, why is the option to select an image enabled for a Google contact in the phone?
