Help Photo storage query

This is embarassing. My Galaxy S3 shows all my pictures but some are not on the phone.
The thumbnails of those that aren't, bear the Google circular logo.

I assume they are held on a Google cloud of some kind but I have forgotten how that arose.
Can someone suggest how I locate where they are stored as they need a bit of pruning?

If you are using "Photos" to view your images, it will show you the cloud storage by default, which would include photos no longer on your phone. You can deleted them there, or, if you ask me, the easier method is to log into your google account on a desktop and use the Google Photos .

Click on more and select photos and you should see everything.

Well Lawsy Me, I have been computering since the sun come up on them the first time, and for some reason, I have never, ever, clicked on "More"....

now I will have to play with "Photos" from the website... I hate the "Photos" app on the phone.

it says "No Photos" and that is just fine with me...
I'm going to keep it that way...

Thank you. I never realised that 'More' was the answer.
