Lurker
This has likely been asked a thousand times, but I couldn't seem to phrase it right to dig it up in the search. Is there a way to tag a person in a photo who is NOT on the contact list?
This has alway been the one thing that really annoys me about this phone. That and the lack of a (built in) ability to rename photos or name photos taken with the camera.

Thanks, Matt

I know what you mean, it would be great to do it in a Facebook kind of way - yes you can pick someone from your list of friends/contacts but you can also just apply a name that you type in.

Wondered if it would be in the 2.1 upgrade but it isn't. There was also a rumour that there is an upgrade due in the New Year that works on the UI so maybe something like that will be included.

Know some sort of alternative method that is quick and easy?
I'm a retail loss prevention officer and every time I make an arrest, take a picture. As it is, I'm starting to forget the names of the older ones, and always have to start flipping through my notebook to try to jog my memory.

There is an app called Picsay which I have and not really thought about in this way, but you can apply speech bubbles or flags/banners to the pics - supposed to be a fun thing but actually it could work for you. It's free and i have just labelled a picture quite quickly to see how easy it would be... basically when you open it you get asked to Get Picture and then pressing Menu when you have it you get your options, 'Title' being one of them . You can choose the resolution you want for the picture too so good for emailing them etc.

Might be worth a look.
