I have been having problems with my gallery since I rooted my razr. First, it suddenly started digitizing and corrupting my pictures and videos making them have all kinds of lines in the pictures or making half the picture unviewable and making my videos unplayable. I looked up the problem and saw that it could be the SD card because it was a class 4. So I bought a 32 GB kingston class 10. I seem to have less problems with the picture digitizing now, but everytime I move a picture from one folder to another or from the internal SD card to the external all the sudden the photo is unviewable again or I get multiples of it suddenly and only one is viewable. I have no idea what is causing this but it is becoming quite a nuisance since I have tons of important pictures and videos of my 16 month old on my phone/SD card. I am also running the ROM abysm by Droid Th3ory, and I'm starting to think that is what is causing it because I remember reading something about how he increased the write speed to the SD card or something to that effect and I'm thinking that might be why these things are happening. Thank you for any help in advance.

I am rooted, and have not flashed a rom. I do not have any issues with the gallery in any form. It works flawlessly and I am actually more impressed all the time with the quality of pics this phone takes...
Anyway, it would seem that if the write speed was changes on the rom you are running, that would be my first guess as to why you are having issues. I don't know why he would have sped it up, the thing will blast off a couple pictures a second for me... it is faster than my point and click Sony digi camera.

Also rooted stock rom with no problems at all, except uploading pics to facebooks been failing.
But to the OP id flash a different rom, copy all sd card data to pc, make back ups of a well working rom, then see if you can create the problem again by process of elimination.
