Help Photon Video - Record in another format? AVI? WMV? NOT mpeg4

Here's the deal... I have an older version of sony movie studio hd (version 9) and it will not allow you to import mpeg4/mp4 files.

I want to record in another format that it WILL read (like wmv or avi) so that when I transfer the video from my phone to my computer, I will not have to go through a converter before entering the video into my video editing software.

Is it possible to record video in another format with my motorola photon 4g?

Alternatively, is there a video recording APP that I can download that RECORDS in a different format?

Not that I'm aware of. Mpeg is most commonly used on these devices because it allows for the most compression while still getting decent video quality.
