Photon vs Galaxy S2

My wife and I both had the E4GT but her's got stolen two days ago. I was thinking of getting the photon originally but they were out of stock. I am going to replace her phone but was wondering if i should give her my E4GT and buy a photon or just keep mine and get her something else. She doesn't really care either way. I'm trying to compare the following (in no particular order) before i make my decision.

Battery life
Screen clarity (size doesn't matter here)
signal strength
speed of proccessor (1.0 vs 1.2 Ghz)

I don't care about launchers because i use golauncher ex. I don't really play any games on it. maybe movies though...

Haven't seen one of these threads for a while, but they were popular last year around this time. From what I can remember...

1. Battery life is comparable between the two.
2. The Photon uses a pentile screen that some people can't stand. For that reason, the E4GT probably wins overall, although I have no issues with the Photon's screen myself.
3. Motorola is known for its rock solid radios, so the Photon wins this one.
4. In all honesty, you likely won't notice a difference in speed between the two although technically the E4GT's processor is faster.

That said, why not look at some of the newer phones out right now? The HTC EVO 4G LTE and the Samsung Galaxy S3 are both great phones. There's also the older Galaxy Nexus, which has the benefit of a nice stock ICS experience (and soon Jelly Bean, whenever the CDMA version gets done). Otherwise, you probably can't go wrong with either the Photon or the E4GT.

I've got the PHOTON & would recommend it to anyone for many reasons (excellent call quality, durability,WEBTOP, removable battery & expandable memory, & 4G WIMAX if it's in your area).

However, if you're in a 4G LTE area,then I'd take a look @ the newer offerings(PHOTON Q, EVO 4G LTE, SGS3).

FWIW,if you are wanting to buy a new phone off-contract, the original PHOTON is still available from MOTOROLA @ $200 off original MSRP.
