photos disappearing

I have LG Optimus Showtime and my pictures just disappear what the #### is going on I can't find them anywhere they just disappear one minute they're there next gone all my pictures from vacation so gone carrier straight talk

Use a file manager to view the DCIM folder on your sd card. Sometimes a reboot will get them to show up in the gallery. If not, you can copy them from the DCIM folder and save them to your pc by USB or with an app like AirDroid

Also, don't know if your device has a removable SD card or not, but they can go bad. I've also experienced the same issue you described when I installed a Class 10 card on my phone which couldn't support one of that class (speed).
