Help photos in RAW format

HELP! I have hundreds of family photos of my kids on my phone. I could not download the images directly from my phone for some reason? I had to pull the card and download them directly through an adapter on a USB port in my computer.
This I did successfully.

Problem: most of the images are in RAW format???
I have CS5 design suite, but nothing will open the RAW files. I have tried several converters but they will not recognize the format???

What can I do to save these photos??? Strange thing, they show up on my droid incredible as previews just fine.

I don't believe the inc will recognize the raw format... they would need to be changed to a different format... which can usually be done by just opening the picture on a PC and choosing the "save as" option and it should let you choose what file type to save it as. The RAW format is usually a very large file(high quality) which there is really no reason to view from a mobile device

Hope that answers your question... let me know if I misunderstood.

I was curious about this because I've had issues with photos not wanting to open, so I looked around and found this page that explains RAW.
At the bottom it has a list of software that will work with the files. Good luck!
