Help Photos Unsorted on new SD card

I just upgraded the microSD card on my GS4 (running KitKat). I've copied all my data to the new card now my photos are unsorted in the Gallery app.

I guess Android doesn't sort using Exif data and sorts by using the file's "Date Modified" info.

Is there any way to restore order to my Photos?

Hey red30, did you find an answer to this?
My LCD bled so I had to get a new phone, but when I restored from a backup the photos in my gallery albums are in a random order. I'd love to know how to sort them in the order they were taken.
