Hi, I have a Samsung ace and would like to download the pictues fom the memory card onto the computer, but I dont know how to do it, please can you help?

Connect the phone to your computer via a USB cable.

Since you have a Samsung, Kies ought to have tools to transfer pictures, alternatively you could use Windows Explorer (Windows Key + E). The phone will appear under My Computer and your photos will most likely be in Internal Storage under \DCIM\camera
