Help picture message still 'downloading'

I use my Galaxy europa with Virgin. When I got the phone, I updated it with Virgins picture messaging config and it worked fine for a few months, receiving several pictures from contacts !!

but now when someone sends me a txt with a pic attached...the txt arrives but it just says 'downloading' ...and I never get the picture !!

Has anyone experienced this ? and if you have how did you fix it ?

Virgin are useless - I have spent hours on phone to them receiving 'help' aka 'NO help'.....

I have experienced this a few times, I'm no genius, I usually get them to send it again, but one time I just turned my phone off and then on and it downloaded when I turned it on again!
