Help Picture + text as a video multimedia slideshow annoyance!

This happens on both Galaxy SII Epic 4G Touch and GSIII on Sprint:

Just until about a month or two ago, every time I'd send a picture along with a text or a text along with a picture, it'd be sent as just that, a picture with a text. Now every time I go to send a picture with a text along with it, it shows up to the recipient as if it's a video where you have to hit 'play' and then it "plays" the picture then shows just the text. What the hell?! Can I get the nice before-mentioned captioned picture back? Soooo...annoying. Thoughts?

Hello Jaroam. Some of the updates coming across many carriers are including changes as you mention. Many users are applying the only remedy that can work: finding a 3rd party app in Play Store which has the qualities desired.

Some just learn to live with the changes. But an app seems like the way to go if it's happening with several devices.

Who the hell thought, "Gee, a picture with a text description...let's make that into an annoying slideshow!" Make no sense. If I research this annpoance on multiple forums, it seems many are annoyed like I am. God bless the code-makers. Not.
