Help picture transfer OTG cable

on a Galaxy tab 2 7 ver. 4.1.1 I can transfer pictures with a OTG usb adaptor using a Kodak Easy Share but not with a Nikon CoolPix s4300. With the easy share, the gallary opens automatically and after clicking on the pictures, they all open. With the Nikon, the pictures are visible for a second or so, then disappear. In "my files"app, the Nikon isn't shown. Is this a camera specific problem with the Nikon? If I take the sd card out of the Nikon and put it in a card reader connected to the OTG cable, all is fine. Any thoughts? TIA, mark s

It definitely sounds like an issue with the phone.

Out of curiosity, do the Nikon and the Kodak respond similar to one another when connected to your PC?

No problem connecting the cameras to a pc.

I would see if I could find my adapter, and hook my camera up to the tablet... but I think it is a Kodak. Then again, maybe I'll see if I can mount my other android devices too... So far I haven't done anything except a thumb drive. Trying other devices may not tell us anything relevant to your issue, but if other devices fail also, we can possibly determine a commonality.
