Pimlical For Android now has Direct Sync and Notes

Hook

Ever since DU... ;-)
I thought it worth an update on the Pimlical app as a lot has changed from the older threads in 2011.

Pimlical is the Personal Information Manager for Android created by CESD, the developer of Datebk6 for Palm. It has an Android app and a Desktop app (purchased separately. The Desktop has all four PIMS --Calendar, Memos, Contacts and Tasks. The Android app so far has Calendar and Notes but Contacts are coming.

1. Pimlical is now (as of a few months ago) available in the Play Store and on Amazon. This is like Tasker, a program with a learning curve due to many options. You won't have any idea from Google's 15 minutes for a refund.

2. Pimlical has added direct sync. You have to use a Webdav server to get around that Android since ICS has largely used MTP over USB rather than allowing you to mount storage as a drive, but it is very easy and is the best, fastest and most accurate sync I have ever found on Android.

3. It has just added Memos with direct sync. As a heavy note user, I am very happy with this new development. The editor is basic but covers the bases and you canuse Android sharing to send them to Dropbox. They are stored as text files and not in a database which makes them inaccessible. I like that very much as I have the option of using a more sophisticated text editor.

Pimlical will sync with Google or directly with your computer. It will even do both.

A lot more information here:

There's also a Yahoo forum here:

I have no connection with the developer CESD. I just love the software and like that my money goes to help the Gorillas. :)

Strong support for this. I also am just a very pleased user. To me Pimlical Android far surpasses any other Android calendar/pim app, and in combo with Pimlical Desktop is outstanding.
