Help Pin Code Lock Button?

I've been trying to find a way to do this, and haven't had any luck yet. I carry my phone in my pocket, and like to use swipe to unlock most of the time. But at certain times, like when I leave it in the car charging or overnight, I want to have a pin code lock. Is there a way to have a button that manually switches on pin code lock, without going to the settings menu and going through all the hassle of changing the lock screen? Basically something that toggles between pin code lock and swipe to unlock with one click.

Depends on your Android version. Later versions of Android have something called 'Smart Lock'. Like for me, I have a Pebble watch. When it's disconnected, it locks my phone. When it's connected my phone's unlocked. Like spoken of before, facial recognition also is an option. There are a few options to choose from.

I know that a rooted 4.4.4 phone (my phone) running tasker with secure settings can do that. You'd have to string together a few commands to build a toggle widget to do that and display the current state...a little learning curve.
