Help Pinger settings?

I can't seem to get into the Pinger settings menu on the S5. On my other devices, I can see the settings key on the bottom left corner of the app when you open it, but not on the S5. Any ideas? Or is Pinger on the fast road to Suck City?

Pinger?

Not sure what you mean.

The bottom left corner contains a dual function menu.
First touch brings up the Recent Apps menu for easy access to something you use a lot.

A Long Press on the same button will bring up a Menu for the app that is running... sometimes, depends on whether the app programmer acknowledges that Long Press. In any event, it is the same menu that pops up when you press the 3 dots on the top right corner of the display.

Yes, you misunderstand me. I'm talking about within the Pinger app, not the phone itself. When I open the app, there is no menu within the app on my S5, but it is on my other devices. It's the two sprocket things at the bottom left of most devices. It's missing on the S5.

The Verizon version does not have a Pinger app.

so that is why I did not know what you were asking about.

On the Play Store, Pinger is a text msg app..... I prefer Textra for that.

Not sure what you mean. I have the Verizon version, and I use the Pinger app on a daily basis, OFTEN. I make and receive calls on it. I use the Text Free app also. I do know the difference between the Pinger Text app and the main app. I really don't know where you're getting that info from, but the only thing I can't seem to do on the Pinger main app is go into the settings.

All I'm saying is, that Pinger don't exist on my particular Verizon phone which has the first update but is still 4.4.2

I just checked the stuff I have turned OFF and it is not there either.

So when you go to the Play Store, it doesn't even show up or you can't download it? That's weird. I just got this phone last week from a trade, used, and Pinger was the first app I downloaded. Sounds like you should explore why you can't get it. It still has 4.4.2. For some reason, it says updates are unavailable.

He is just saying he doesn't have or use Pinder........
He isn't adding anything of value to your problem though lol

Downloaded it and looked at it.

no way in hell, it is too damned intrusive of my privacy.
uninstalled it w/o completing the registration.
