Piranha mobile sim/VOIP ?

have been playing around with a new Piranha Mobile sim card that is meant to integrate with an Android VOIP app.
Wondering if anyone else has experience with this? Very attractive features, but seems quite unstable on my Samsung Vibrant (TMobile).

The unique features are:
- sim card comes with dual US/UK numbers free (and other numbers can be added). Good rates on calls/data in many countries.
- the VOIP (wifi or 3G) works with the same numbers, incoming and outgoing, and quite well integrated with the mobile network. It won't hand off mid-call, though. No extra cost for the inbound VOIP numbers.

Not always reliable on incoming calls on wifi, though, and it's crashed the phone on occasion....could just be Vibrant issues.

I have a Piranha mobile sim that I bought a couple of weeks ago and am using it in my blaze. I recently did a trip to Canada and used the voip where ever i could to save on data usage and apart from a couple of times when I had a bad delay in speech worked very well and saved me a fortune in calls.

thanks, the problem must be my end with my Vibrant on Froyo... I can call out on VOIP, but not receive calls on it, they go through the sim card. Still cheap roaming.

For Canada, Piranha is one of the best international sims on the market in terms of call costs, even without VOIP. Did you need to use the call back function, or does it work there like in the US and UK, direct dial? or maybe you stuck with VOIP.

Hi yes cost were very cheap compared to my UK Orange contract, which caught me out last time. It was Call-Back in Canada, but I did use the VoIP when I had access to WI-FI, in the UK it also uses call-back, but I never use it as I have an Orange contract with my iPhone, the only thing I do use is the VoIP which works well through my Orange contract data package using softphone app, I use the VoIP only when calling land lines in UK as it is only 1p per minute and I don’t want to waste my cross network minutes, I would rather keep them to ring other mobiles. I am still awaiting a reply from Orange to see how they can justify such overcharged bills for using their service overseas.

thanks for the info,
I didn't realize that Piranha uses call back in the UK as well, I thought it was direct dial in the "home" countries, UK and US - it's direct in the US.
Love having the twin soft (VOIP) numbers, Skype and Truphone charge quite a bit just for one inbound number.
