and had been playing the Pirates and Traders Game for a few weeks now with occassional Force Close issues.
I have a suspicion that the latest update of Admob (Google's ad module) has a memory leak somewhere. I have added some code in the next update that I hope will reduce this problem.
From Android's point of view, P&T free and the Gold! version are entirely different apps, so this should never be necessary.I figured maybe still haveing the original game on my phone maybe confussing the download so I deleted it.
There hasn't been an update of this on the marke since last week, so unless Google has done something (and it does not appear so, since the apps are still very much visible and available on the web market) it is not an issue there.then I tried to download the Gold version again. but now I cannot find either Pirates and Traders or the Gold version in the Android Market. Am I have Evo Issues or is the game still on the market? if not, WHat Happened? if it is, why isnt it showing up on my Evo?
Most likely your market client has simply gotten messed up. This is not uncommon and I've noticed several developers complaining about the market recently, so this seems likely.
The standard way to solve 99% of all market problems is to go into "Settings" >> "Applications" and then find two applications "Market" and "Download Manager" (the specific names may vary, depending on your Android version and locale). For both of these apps, select to "Clear Cache" and "Clear Data", if possible. This resets the apps, clearing out any corrupted information that may be causing trouble.
If this does not work, then send me an e-mail with your order number (sent to you by Google Checkout), so that I can check whether Google Checkout is holding up the download in some way (normally you should receive an email from them if that happens, but obviously such can get lost). Your description sounds like a simply Market outage, though, so I doubt this is the case.
