Pixel 2 XL - How to take a screenshot

Taking a screenshot on the Pixel 2 XL and sharing it to other apps or contacts is really easy. Here's how you do it:
  1. Press and hold the power button and volume down button simultaneously.
  2. Wait until you see the screenshot animation
The screenshot will appear in a notification and inside your Photos app. If you tap the notification, you can view it inside the gallery app of your choice. You can also immediately "SHARE" or "DELETE" the screenshot directly from the notification itself.

Tapping SHARE will pull up a list of contacts/conversations to send the screenshot directly, or you can open it using various apps installed on your device. Just scroll down the list to find what you're looking for.

That's not how you did it on my last phone. That's the problem with recipes for "android", there are always devices that do it differently.

(It's taken me a little practice to suss this, until I realised that in this case "simultaneously" is the important word!)

I should have said stock Android. And it seems that a lot of devices use this stock fuctionality. But point taken.
