Pixel C Review Roundup

Dieter from The Verge just published his review of the Pixel C and it scored a moderate 6.8 on the review scale. He really liked the display and thought the design, speakers, battery life and dock were right where they should be.

On the other hand, Dieter did not like the camera, the performance or the software that comes with it. He feels that Android just isn't taking advantage of the screen real estate on tablets.

Walt Mossberg also published his review of the Pixel C on The Verge and while he wants Google to produce hardware products, he just doesn't feel this is the type of quality he should expect from them.

He felt the screen was too reflective, battery life was okay but not as good as the iPad Air 2, the price point was right but didn't like that there wasn't a cellular option. And he agrees with Dieter that Google needs to go a long way to adapt Android to bigger screens.

John from TechRadar just published his review of the Pixel C tablet and he had more positive things to say about it than negative. John feels the Pixel C has a fantastic screen, that the device is designed with a very premium feel to it and that performance was good overall.

However, he does feel that it is heavy for a conventional tablet, that the keyboard is an expensive accessory and he doesn't like that there isn't a microSD card slot or cellular connectivity.

Michael from Pocketnow just uploaded his video review of the Google Pixel C tablet and he loves the hardware that Google has put together. From the internal specs to the build quality and even the keyboard accessory, Michael believes Google did everything right here.

He feels the Pixel C fails in the software department though and feels that Android still isn't made to take advantage of tablet's screen real estate.

Phil from Android Central has just published his review of the Pixel C tablet from Google. Phil really enjoys the display and says it's nice a crisp, he loves the build quality but realizes that the material does add to the weight of the device.

He enjoys the keyboard accessory and appreciates the fast updates from Google. However, he does say the keyboard adds even more weight to the already heavy tablet and that there are very few applications that support landscape mode.

Cameron of Android Police just published his review of the Google Pixel C convertible tablet and he seemed split down the middle with it. He loved the performance, thought the display was fantastic and felt the keyboard attachment was well thought out.

Although, he too felt that the Android software not taking advantage of the big screen was its biggest pitfalls. He also wasn't a fan of how much the Pixel C weighed and he thinks the price will prevent a lot of people from purchasing one.
