why was it a pain to setup?

At first it wouldn't connect to my wife's Bluetooth off her Pixel 5A. Finally it connected. I would setup Wifi and it would say no WiFi. Mobile was setup as unknown then later on changed to google fi that my wife had

I'm guessing it was just slow response time from the watch

The Pixel watch I bought my wife was the LTE version. Today she left her phone at home and went grocery shopping. She called me from the grocery store on the watch. I was surprised it worked so well and her voice was real clear.

Just an FYI

The March 2023 update for the Pixel Watch came out. The watch has to be hooked up to the charger for the update to start. The watch does give you a message that says, "Waiting For Charger". That confused my wife since her watch was 100% charged.

I'm looking for a good watch for my wife, we have a 10th anniversary soon.

.............I can suggest checking out Cartier Santos watches. They look great and might be an affordable option........

I don't think a lot of people can afford $7K to $36K for a watch 😆

The term "affordable" has a different meaning in watch enthusiast circles from the general public .

Admittedly even in those circles I've not seen it used for a 30k watch...

However, watches are very personal, so I'd be wary of buying one without input from the recipient.
