Pixel XL battery life

Nimradir

Greetings. Yesterday I was using my Pixel XL, I was checking Twitter while it was charging (98 %), suddenly, it completely froze and after some awkward seconds, it restarted, now on 92 %. My question is: should I be worried? How can I check the general status of the phone? Do you recommend some apps for this?

Your phone certainly shouldn't be rebooting on its own, though that's not unheard of. I wouldn't really worry about it too much if this was a one-time crash.

The process of rebooting can be rather power intensive. I also wouldn't worry about the indicated 6% drop as long as the battery otherwise behaves normally.

I was having the same issue. I reached out to Google through the support option and they had me reboot the phone in safe mode to see if the reboot would occur again. They advised me that if did not reboot then the issue is isolated to an app however if it did reboot again then it is phone related. In my case it ended up being the phone itself. I called my carrier and they sent me another phone since I was still under the year warranty.
