Root Pixelated Screen Issue (and say hello :) )

Unbelievable that this forum is still so active. Browsing through here because my OG has a screen issue...like a circle of dead pixels or something in a circular type pattern in the middle of the screen. Probably some kind of problem with the internals right?

Wiped everything, re-partitioned the sd card even, wipe, wipe, wipe and nothing. Oh well. My son has been using it as a game device after he dropped our Kindle Fire, which is not a ~7 inch paperweight. Good times.

How old is your Evo? Gotta be going on, perhaps 3? years?
I still have mine too!! I use it for the TorqueApp in my car :D
 
It's about three years I guess. But less than that actually because my first one ended up getting replaced. Sorry for the poor quality picture. Hate the camera on this piece of crap. Ugh!

Anyways, I surmise your screen is seeing its last days considering what you have done already to try and troubleshoot it.
 
Yeah that's what I figured. Might have been dropped at some point. I have no idea since I'm not the one using it. Oh well.
 
Yeah the gnex. It's a decent enough phone but the battery life is atrocious. If I was getting something right now I'd get the HTC one or possibly the moto x. Probably just hold out for the next big thing. Not upgrade eligible until April anyway u think. What are you on at the moment?
