What do these numbers mean droid 1.5, 1.6, 2.0 now 2.1

Are the bigger numbers better than the lower i.e. eris 1.5 Droid 2.0

What are differences in software i.e. HTC has sense ui, droid doesn't

What are consideration in choosing i.e. droid vs eris or others like HTC Hero 1.6

Android 1.0 was the first version of the Android operating system.

1.5, 1.6, 2.0, and soon 2.1 have all been updates to the operating system. Its like going from windows 93 to windows 7. Will its better than windows but thats another thread.
