Play Music: Too many devices

I only have four. My galaxy s3, galaxy tab 10.1, Nexus 7, and now my nexus 10. My nexus 10 refuses to play my music library giving the following error:

"Too many devices. You need to deauthorize one or more of your devices to play from this device"

Horse hockey! I am not about to believe I cannot use the same account on four devices when I could do twice that with iTunes back when I had used apple products! Is there a means to bypass this or contact Google? It's obviously a mistake.
 
You can use it on 10.

But when you flash roms it doesn't always recognize that's the same device.

All you have to do is go on to the website and Deauthorize the ones that aren't actually different devices
 
Well I know I haven't gone through ten Roms or devices either. Is there any way to contact Google? I don't want to deactivate any device I still use. Heck I thought those stupid rule was only PlayStation 3 stuff. One reason I switched to Xbox.

Still works on my S3, and I can see my library and even add music to it via the 10 but the 10 refuses to play it. I'm paying money on time this shouldn't happen. Why even allow me to interact with my playlists even? Why is it playback that is blocked on my new tablet? Heck its direct from Google!

Its very easily handled in a couple of minutes on the website. All you have to do is uncheck whatever devices you don't need authorized anymore.

If you haven't flashed 10 roms then you likely need to go online anyway and make sure someone else isn't using your account.
 
Most of the older tablets didn't even support Play. I deleted Play from the Kindle Fire because it caused issues, I never had it on the Kyros, my first tablet. I only flashed two ROMs on the Tab 10.1, only had the S3 a week, the Nexus 7 a few months, the Galaxy Precedent would count as 5, the 10 as six. Or seven if you count Roms in the Tab 2. I only use Play music on four of them. It has to be a malfunction. I've always had problems with Google Play, they seemed to get worse with the Metro redesign. Often I can't even access Gmail without my laptop. Play Store often tells me no internet when I can browse fine. Now it tells me a lie but allows me to add music and see it, but not play it. This sounds like a bug with my Nexus 10. Almost like a codec is missing.

EDIT: started working a couple minutes ago without doing anything, seriously starting to hate Play Services. Ninety percent of the time they won't work or won't see my internet connection.

It strictly states in the TOS that you can only have 10 devices for your account. This is done as a measure to combat piracy so that a large group of people can't all pool their music into one account and share the login info so they can all access the content. As Rxpert has said, sometimes when you rom flash it reads it as a new device. However the date of which it was last used shows up, so you can remove the old one based on the date.

This happened to me the other day on my Nexus 7. I just pushed the button that popped up, saw the list of my devices, and sure enough my nexus 7 was listed multiple times, and my nexus 4 a couple. I haven't even rooted either one, it just registered a new device for every factory reset I've done. Simply delete all the one with the oldest dates next to them and pushed back, and my music played just fine.
 
With me it fixed itself. Two hours later I just tried again and it played normal. As for my number of tablets, first, each has a purpose. My Nexus 10 is my laptop replacement and an upgrade to my Tab 2. My Nexus 7 was my first Nexus and mainly used in place of a laptop on the go. The tab 2 is now a backup for the 10. The Trio is used as an Xbox remote to save controller batteries when mainly using Netflix. Always hated the uber annoying circle flash sequence it did when the batteries were at half charge.
