Play Music update error.

Hi!got my nexus 4 yesterday, and im already having errors with updating.
When i try to update Google Play Music, it gives me the "Package file was not signed correctly" message. It also says that i should uninstall it and reinstall it.

I can't do that, i can't remove an app that came with the phone. So what do i do?

You can uninstall updates, though.

Go to Settings, Apps, tap the Play Music app and tap the uninstall updates button then confirm.

You should then find that when you refresh Play, the update will become available again.

i just noticed, google search wont even update. When itry to search something with my voice, its says "cant recognise"

Hmmm ..

I'm going to suggest that you back everything up, do a factory reset then immediately try to run the updates again.

If you then get the same problem after that, then I think you're going to have to return the phone to Google.

One question: did the phone updated itself to 4.2.2? If you're not on 4.2.2 it might be worth attempting that (Settings, About phone, System updates, Check now).

Nope, im not on 4.2.2(im on 4.2.1) And i cant update to that version, im assuming its not available in my area yet (i live in Estonia).Nothing still works, so i have two. options right now, either i wait for the 4.2.2 update from my carrier or i return the phone and a get a new one ( i dont think thats going to happen tho)

Contact Google Support and / or your carrier and return the phone. Even if you have 4.2.1 you should be able to update Play Music, Search etc.
