Just a heads up for people who didnt know yet: the play store has hit the 25 billion download mark, and to celebrate there'll be a 25 cent sale on some petty good apps. It will go on for 5 days with new apps every day. Here's a list of today's ones:

(Of course I just blew 14 bucks on Office Suite Pro a week ago. Now it's 25 bloody cents....)

is anyone else experiencing errors?

on my phone, it can't connect to server.

on desktop, it can't finalize the purchase.

Weird, I had that problem this morning. Cleared the cache for Google Services Frameword and the Google Play Store and after that everything was running fine again. Hope the same will work for you.

dang, that didn't work.

the last time i had it working was about 2 hours ago. i knew about this sale, and kept checking the Play Store for it to be added.

and now that the sales were added, the Play Store isn't working. :(

UPDATE: so my friends on Verizon are able to load the Play Store just fine. this is really annoying. =P wish i had Wi-Fi right now to test.

UPDATE2: so i found this topic on XDA
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1847166

had to remove and re-add my Google account. what a lame way to fix this, but it's fixed.

Look on the bright side. My wife just made me download "Let's Create Pottery" for 25 cents and is Bogarding my phone to play as we speak.

sorry to thread jump but i have a Play Store question, coming from iOS where my credit card is store with my apple ID how do i store my credit card on my google id for play store purchases

Thanks for that - I've just downloaded "Tasks" by Team Tasks, and it seems streets ahead of the task management app I've been using up to now.

If you don't want to do CC, then go to your nearest Target or Gamestop and pick up a Google Play card. They work exactly like itunes cards and come in $10, $25 and $50 increments. Buy one, get to your device, click on the Play Store, go to your own apps and click 'Redeem'. Put the 16 digit code in that you scratched off from the card and you are good to go. Your account updates immediately.

I have Google Wallet on my S3 and cc's linked to my account, but still like using the Google Play cards for buying apps. Plus, every chance I get to buy a card or you do, shows Google that they need to keep pushing forward on gift cards and hopefully nfc tech too.

thanks this google wallet looks exactly what will work for me, is the play store similar to the ios app store where you have to know your google password to complete the purchase?

You will need your Google password to log into Google Play. Once you log in it does not ask again to complete your purchase.

It won't ask you any password, unless you set a pin before for purchases. If you do so, whenever you try to buy an app, it will ask you to input the PIN you chose. Just to be on the safer side, I'd suggest to do so, or anyone could purchase apps if they have on hand your phone.

Thinking of getting Office Suite, just because. But dont we already have something stock that opens and edits Word and PDF files?
