Player Pro - USB drive?

I can't post this on the author's website as they're forum leads to a 502/Bad Gateway, but can you use Player Pro with music loaded in an external USB Drive?

Mine doesn't seem to pick up anything aside in-phone stored media on my Nexus 5, while other apps like Music Pro did.

Anyone tried this yet?

Done and done. The files are there if I through a file manager and, like I said, other music players pick it up (perhaps it was Neutron I was thinking of and not Music Pro).

I am able to play one-by-one if I open the file(s) from File Manager, but that's about it. There's no way to root the app itself is there?
 
I did a bit of research but was not able to find anything useful. I did email the company and asked them if it was possible with their app.
 
Thanks argedion, yea...that seems like the only place I'd get an answer - though it seems it will most likely be a "no".

Oh well. Too bad cause I really like this one over all the rest:(
