Playing ".cda" music files on Samsung Galaxy S2

hoier

Lurker
I just received my Galaxy s2. I would like to copy music from my cds (.cda format), but the music player does not play/recognise this format.

Any ideas? I would perfer download an add on.application to the phone enabling it too read .cda files over converting each track to MP3. Either way though any suggestions on the process and possible applications

Thanks all

Downloaded Audacity, No "codec" found in the program. Can't even import because .cpa is not a supported format, and that I need to convert to a supported format. Again it does not show you jow, or searching help finds nothing

You didn't read far enough:
For users on Windows, Audacity recommends CD-EX as a fully featured CD extraction program which can extract to the WAV format you need for editing the audio in Audacity.
In the CD-EX window, simply select the CD tracks you want to extract to WAV and press F8 or Convert > Extract CD track(s) to WAV

You need to get CD-EX. it's free, too.
