Help Playing Galaxy S3 Content on my Tv

Hi,

Can i play content on to My Tv from my S3? My Tv isnt an internet model but does a USB port or 2, is there a USB device i can buy that will connect with my Phone?

If it can, does that mean i can use streaming sites etc through my phone onto my Tv screens?

You could connect your phone to the TV's USB with a standard USB cable (this cable which came with your phone).
But your phone just would act like a USB stick and your TV would have to play the video files.

Better way would be to buy a MHL adapter for your phone and connect it via HDMI cable to the TV. This would mirror the phone's screen on your TV's screen :)

Do you have an Xbox, PS3, or any other internet capable device hooked up to it? I can play videos from my phone through allshareplay.

How do you do that? I have an XBOX that is linked to the internet but don't know how to play videos from my S3.

BTW I meant to say Xbox 360, you just need to set up Windows Media Center on it I believe.

Here's what I did:
Installed AllSharePlay on my desktop (not sure if that mattered or not)
Turn on Xbox 360, open Windows Media Center on desktop.
Media Center recognized Xbox and I went through the steps to set it up.
Made sure Media Center was running on my Xbox
Opened AllSharePlay on my phone, saw my Xbox, and selected it
Selected media to play and it magically appeared on my TV.
 
Dumb question, but do you know if you need to have xbox live to use that? So far, anything internet related on my 360 needs live in order to use it. But I rarely use my xbox so I don't feel like paying for it.

I don't think you need XBOX live for this. Just connected to your LAN.

I got it to work following Roadie1015 instructions.

I got some stored videos to play but music failed.

Another option is to use dlna. If your tv, blu ray player, streaming media player or gaming console has dlna then you can send any media to your tv. This only works for music, pictures or videos stored on your phone. It won't work for streaming, gaming, browser or apps.
