Help Playing movies on TV

The previous android phone I had allowed me to use its charger cable to connect to my TVs usb port and view movies from my android on the tv. I am trying to do it with my galaxy tab 2, but all it gives me as options are pictures and music, and it cant even find the pictures or music, saying I have none.

Please help, I wanna stream videos to my TV using my charger cable.
 
The GT2 does not support video out through the charging/usb port. One option would be to use a software solution, if your TV supports DLNA (supported by most "smart" tvs).

Search the play store for DLNA.
