Help Playing USB Data Via The Music "App"

Ok, so I have a Galaxy S II.

I have about 1.2Gb of music stored on an SD card, and this shows up when I play music through the standard music app.

I wanted to add more tunes to the phone, and decided to add them to the devices 12Gb USB storage space. However, the files aren't picked up through the music app. However, if I go into My Files > usbStorage > and then select the folder I dropped them in, I can play the songs.

Is it possibly for the music app to pick up the songs stored in "usbStorage"?

Do not use the "usbStorage" folder - that is reserved for the USB On The Go application as a mount point for other devices plugged into the USB port at the bottom of the phone. So the media player will ignore it.

Store your music anywhere but there and it should get picked up eg. Myfiles , Media(/sdcard/Media) then create a folder under there.
