Help Playing videos through the TV

You can buy the official MHL adapter to connect your phone through your tv's HDMI but its not guaranteed to work on tvs that dont support 1080p resolution. You can also but the wifi dongle which i believe does support 720p but it costs about 3x as mush as the MHL adapter.

Hi , is there a way to connect s3 to the TV to play home movies, films etc Cheers.

My Samsung tv is connected into my home network. I noticed a new icon when I was looking at pics on my phone's gallery. Looks like a little monitor with a 1 and arrows going in and out. I pushed it and all of a sudden on my tv I got a message asking if I wanted to share data. I clicked ok and the pic showed up on the tv. This also worked with music and video. Thought it was a pretty nice little feature.

When I had an LG Spectrum, I purchased from monoprice.com an MHL adapter (LINK). It worked perfectly. But the SGS3 uses an 11 pin layout, not the 5 pin layout used by previous devices. I purchased from Amazon the official 5 to 11 pin adapter (LINK) and my MHL adapter works just fine with my SGS3.

The two together cost less than the official Samsung MHL adapter.

I have a Samsung TV also connected to my network and use Allshare all the time love this APP. The kids think they are on TV :) and in a way they are

How can one tell the difference between the two Samsung adapters?

I just got one in that I had ordered before I found out the S3 has a specific adapter for it. I have the feeling it's not the new revision, but it looks just like the one labeled for the S3. The model number of mine is identical to it, except mine doesn't have the "G" at the end.

So is the S3 compatible adapter the one with the "G" at the end of the model?
