Has anyone had any luck using psx4droid? Using v1.1 I select a game and nothing happens, using v3 it crashes and restarts the phone when I select a game. I'm using scph1001.bin BIOS. yh i had the same prob as u. download psx4droid v2 1.1.2 just search for it on google. and set that bios file and it should work

this one is far more faster than psx4droid , which have massive feature and config options.
well , even though can't compare to GameGripper ( or smt like that) , but FPse is the best Ps1 emu for our phone up to now

Thanks a lot for your help guys - and the quick responses! zakkkkk - I've tried v2 1.1.2 and that works, but it's unbearably slow. Do you have any tips for configuring the settings? Have you got it running very smoothly, and what games if you have? leon1z - I downloaded FPse from the link you posted, but I noticed in the permissions it does a Market Licence Check. I looked on the market and it's a paid app. I'm not that bothered about it so doubt I'll buy it, but thanks for the pointer.

hmm , so it has market licence check ......
but i haven't encouter anything like that .Aww..... , you need to turn off your 3g/edge , since i always turn off my 3g/EDGE cuz it sometime run some money-eating background service , and then i just used fpse without license check =]]

I tried 37 and 38 - 38 force closes but 37 works fine! Thanks! I don't know what the licence check thing is about. It's still a bit slow, but nowhere near as bad as psx4droid. Do you have any tips on configuring it? I found turning off Framelimiter and changing Frameskip to 'up to 50fps' SEEMED to speed it up a little.

first : frame limiter is for high-end phone (GS , Desire , ...etc) cuz games run like 120 fps on those phone , so change it does'nt make the fps go up at all
2nd : frame skip DOES make the game goes faster , but it make the game quality worse. you can go to system option , check all the things with acceleration , and of course use a proper bios unless you want your game to be "buggy" and slow and etc...
Also turn off the sound and use the sound without SPU sync also speed up alot
