Hi

Had to wipe my android device today as messed up folder structure (via PC) and couldn't restore it.

I had to install downloaded apps manually as they were not restored automatically.

Now playstore is showing apps as installed that are not installed.

Can anyone help me to get playstore synced again with my device?

UPDATE
Playstore shows situation correctly on device not when accessed via PC. For some reason two are not in sync.

The applications might be from a previous mobile phone that you used to have. can you try to sign out and sign in afresh? then go to (gear icon)-settings. you should see the devices connected to your Google play
click on edit-update....let me know when it works.

Hi

Thanks for your reply.

The phone is the same device and I know they were installed on the last installation.

The only thing that I have thought of though is the device identification is a problem given that I changed providers (O2 to Tesco) and had my old number transferred.

See attachment for the way my device is identified on Playstore (via PC interface). October 2014 (today) is date reset and restore.

Signed out and in again. I don't see an edit/update button...?

See screenshot. BBC app is not installed on my device.

Are those paid apps? What happens when you click the app? Is there a button "install"?

That's on a PC right? Don't worry much about it. Clicking installed will still give you the option to install to your device. The Play Store database just did not get an uninstall notification since you wiped it and didn't properly uninstall, that's why it shows as installed. However, clicking installed will make the Play Store see the devices which doesn't have the app.
