Playstore wont work

hi I use an Xperia Z and when I open playstore it says "playstore needs to enable backround data to be enabled" then gives an "enable" option then I click on that, it displays a list of apps and a sync checkbox which is checked, but from there I cannot do anything cause theres no option once this pop up window is opened, so I cannot use playstore. Please help urgently.

Head to Settings -> Data Usage, then click the 3 dots in the top right corner. Is Restrict Data checked? If yes, uncheck.

Also, might be worth seeing if Play store is on the white list when you have stamina mode activated.
